FAN is proud to partner with BFI on this new UK-wide programme celebrating one of the greatest and most enduring filmmaking partnerships: Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger.

Dive into the cinematic universe of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger whose creative partnership in the 1940s created some of the most stylistically ambitious, thematically rich, subversive, and sensual British films ever made.

Conceived by the BFI and delivered in partnership with FAN, Cinema Unbound is the first UK wide celebration of this extraordinary duo of filmmakers and their unique creative vision.

Film Hub members are invited to Watershed on 1 June to join some of the BFI team and experts involved to explore how you might develop bespoke activity in your area or Cross-FAN activity beyond your region as part of this UK wide programme. This is also an opportunity to connect with other organisations that are also developing such projects.

The day will explore the themes and potentials of the programme to develop BESPOKE and CROSS FAN projects where members can apply for up to £15,000 to either develop a more bespoke season of films within the context or a cross-FAN project that can involve venues around the UK.

A Creative Brief and Guidelines will be shared by mid-May with more information.

Please complete the attached form to register. Please note that travel and accommodation can be covered by bursaries which you can request as part of the registration process.

Date details: Thurs 1st June at Watershed, 1 Canon’s Rd, Bristol BS1 5TX

The day will start at 11am with teas/coffees and will end by 3pm. A vegan lunch will be provided.
