Article: BFI FAN: Green Hour – Sustainable Procurement

BFI FAN: Green Hour is a new series of events for UK film exhibitors focusing on environmental sustainability. These events are open to all UK-wide BFI FAN members.

Sustainable Procurement

Join us from 14:00 – 15:00 on Wednesday 10 January for our second edition, where we’ll explore sustainable procurement and localised resilience.

In this session, we’ll discuss how to implement ethical, low-carbon procurement processes, and the organisational demands and benefits of responsible sourcing.

Our speakers for this webinar are Natasha Padbury (Office & Sustainability Manager, Depot Cinema) and Simon Curtis (Chair, Greater Manchester Arts Sustainability Team).

Natasha and Simon will share practical examples from their experiences of working with local suppliers, and provide inspiration on how to make place-based, climate-driven decisions that lead to meaningful change.

This session will be particularly useful for film exhibition staff working in operational, office and marketing teams.

Registration

Please sign up via Zoom.

Eligibility

This is a nationwide event, open to all members of the BFI Film Audience Network’s regional and national Film Hubs.
